Crisco is the brand name of a type of vegetable oil that is classed as “shortening”, which means that it is solid at room temperature.  It’s normally sold as a food product and is popular in the USA (which explains the picture of the cherry pie on the label).

Because it’s oil-based Crisco is not condom compatible, but it is usually used as a lubricant for inserting anal sex toys, or fingers and hands, as opposed to sexual intercourse using condoms.  The container has a reusable plastic lid to stop the product drying out in between uses.

While Crisco is classified as an expensive food ingredient, it is a low cost option for situations where large amounts of lubricant are required (use your imagination).

Many people have reservations about using a vegetable oil as a lubricant, but it has been popular for many years due to its versatility and relatively low cost. The first impression is that it is like a white margarine, with no real smell or taste.   Crisco is thick to touch at room temperature, but quickly melts with body temperature, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth.

As Crisco is fat based, it doesn’t dry out or soak into the skin like a water based lube does, so a little goes a long way and it last for ages.

Some Crisco fans are keen on rolling the product into balls and freezing it. The Crisco balls are then left in the freezer for 4-5 hours and although they don’t set hard the freezing process enables you to push the Crisco balls deeper inside the anus.

This product has passed its best before date, so it's not suitable for human consumption, but it's most certainly still suitable for lubricant use.
